Weekend brunch, roughly 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., is the busiest shift of the week, and well-known spots run waits of 30 to 60 minutes; many now take reservations or a waitlist through an app. Expect large portions, free refills on drip coffee and a tip of 15 to 20 percent for table service. Creperies, waffle houses and bistros round out the group with sweeter or European-style menus.

State College is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around State College is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Absolutely amazing service and an even better meal at The Naked Egg! First, Ellie and Carly were fantastic. They helped me get seated quickly, which was especially appreciated because I had to get to work. They were friendly, welcoming, and made the whole process incredibly easy. Then I have to give a huge shoutout to David, the barista. My iced mocha latte was SO good. Seriously, it was one of the best iced mochas Iโve had. Iโm already thinking about trying to recreate it myself tomorrow if I donโt make it back to The Naked Eggโbut honestly, I already know it probably wonโt be anywhere near as good as Davidโs! And finally, whoever was working in the kitchen absolutely crushed it. My parfait and Reuben were both incredible. The fruit in the parfait was fresh, flavorful, and delicious, and the Reuben was packed with flavor. The Thousand Island sauce was impeccable and really brought everything together. I travel around trying different places and reviewing food, and The Naked Egg absolutely deserves a spot on my list of places worth coming back to. From the service, to the drinks, to the food, everything was on point. It also was super quiet and was easy for me to concentrate o

We stopped here during move-in weekend at Penn State, so it was quite busy. Despite that, their young crew seemed to be handling it very well. Food was delicious, Americano was great, service was good. It has a comfortable atmosphere, but could use a good scrubbing.

Visited graduation weekend combined with Mothers Day. The place was hopping but I gather that is what it is like all the time. It felt like everything was under control though - our wait was moderate and the service was attentive. Most importantly, the food was DELICIOUS! All three orders all came out great - chicken and waffles; a breakfast burrito with all the extras; and a "make your own" omelette. Coffee was also very tasty. We are decaf drinkers and they gave us a different color mug so there wouldn't be any mistakes. My only regret is that we only just tried this place on graduation weekend. Will be our go-to place on visits back!

A wonderful spot for a cozy breakfast with your loved ones. The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and thereโs plenty of convenient parking. The staff were incredibly friendly and made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

Due to medical appointments and all the cold weather schedule changes of the week we found ourselves with the time to check out The Naked Egg Cafe as weโve been wanting to do for a while. The place was hopping, parking was made even more challenging by all the piled up snow, but luckily another patron was leaving before we gave up ๐. Even though it was busy, we were greeted promptly and offered our choice of seating without much of a wait. Hot coffee came quickly which given the temperatures, was quite welcome. Because it is no longer standard practice, I have to give props when coffee is served with cream and a spoon together!! I never got our serverโs name but he was professional and efficient even though he was clearly slammed. Bruce ordered eggs over easy with the house made corned beef hash, side of bacon, and English Muffin. The bacon was better than average, thick slab and cooked to a perfect crisp, the rest was unremarkable. I ordered the California Omelette, with a side of the Corned Beef Hash, English Muffin and it came with Tater Tots. My Omelette was delicious, it comes with house made salsa, which I ordered on the side because I like to regulate my own condime
